Tortoĺ Sardinia
The largest town of the Ogliastra, rich in traditions and enchanting hideaways
Tortolì is the largest town in Sardinia's "Ogliastra" region, an area located on the island's East coast. Resting between the sea and a large pool of water, Tortoli owes its prosperity to its position close to the port of Arbatrax, the airport, and some of Sardinia's most stunning beaches.
Strolling through the streets of Tortolì, visitors have occasion to admire any of a number of works of sculpture which are part of the "Su logu de s'iscultura" project.
The Church of San Lussorio and the Church of Sant'Andrea are the town's most important houses of worship. Capo Bellavista, Porto Frailis, Lido Orrì, and the Rocce Rosse, are all within easy reach of Tortolì.
